Sub directorate Malaria, Directorate of Vector Borne Disease Control (P2B2) Ministry of Health of Indonesia, is one of the principle recipient (PR) of Global Fund grant to fight malaria in Indonesia. The grant is being used to intensified malaria control in east Indonesia, Sumatera, Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Some of the inisiatives are to enhance the capacity of health workers, to ensure monitoring and evaluation including timelines and adequacy of reports to the Global Fund, to increase coverage and improve quality of vector control through indoor residual spraying and insecticide-treated bed nets, to increase coverage and quality of early diagnosis and prompt treatment, procure supplies and equipment and also to establish project managemen unit in all levels.
